As you well know, the novel COVID vaccines have been pushed on us for a while now, with the political left and so-called science experts saying that it is the only way to achieve immunity, both for the individual and the country as a whole. And now that the popular Pfizer vaccine has just received its official FDA approval, it seems there’s no real reason why they think any of us should be still rejecting the opportunity to be double jabbed.
And Delta Airlines is giving its employees an extra incentive for getting the shots. Although, you’d probably more realistically call it a “de-incentive,” as you won’t be charged an additional monthly fee.
For those that decide to still hold out on getting the vaccine, Pfizer or otherwise, a monthly surcharge of no less than $200 will be added to your company health plan beginning in November, according to the Star Tribune.
That means those who refuse to be vaccinated after November will be taking a pay cut of a whopping $2,400 just for not following the current political narrative.
According to the Atlanta-based company’s CEO, Ed Bastian, “With this week’s announcement that the FDA has granted full approval for the Pfizer vaccine, the time for you to get vaccinated is now.”
Bastian claims that the company has already spent far too much, some $50,000 per employee, on COVID-related hospitalizations in the past year, and they are simply trying to cut costs and reduce “the financial risk the decision to not vaccinate is creating for our company.”
Of course, with the lack of efficacy in any vaccine version, there are some major holes in that line of thinking.
Take a recent case study completed in Israel, for example, where vaccination rates among the population are around 78 percent. The high percentage, one of the highest in the world, would naturally lead most to believe that COVID case numbers, hospitalizations, and death would be decreasing at a drastic rate. However, that’s just not the case.
Instead, almost 60 percent of all COVID hospitalizations involve patients who have already been double jabbed and by the Pfizer vaccine, no less.
In the UK, similar numbers of hospitalizations exist. Here, the vaccinated rate among the entire population isn’t nearly as high as in Israel. And yet, some 40 percent of all COVID hospitalizations have been fully vaccinated.
And that’s not even the most terrifying part.
Per to Yahoo News, “More vaccinated people are dying of COVID than unvaccinated people, according to a recent report from Public Health England.”
I think it goes without saying that all this only gives those holding out on the vaccine even more reason to believe they shouldn’t or don’t have to get it.
Then, of course, there are those who are concerned about the long-term effects of the vaccine. And it’s only natural to feel this way. After all, the virus is still fairly new, with little being really understood about how it works, not to mention that it now has multiple strands. And the vaccine is even more recent, having been out now for a mere nine months.
We still have no real idea as to what the vaccine may do to our bodies later on down the road. For example, will it later prove to make women infertile? Will it produce side effects such as myocarditis in patients, as some have already experienced?
And yet, despite not knowing much at all, the FDA has chosen to approve one version of it anyway.
All this is to ask, what if the risks of the vaccine outweigh the possible benefits, which right now, doesn’t seem to be a whole hell of a lot.
As with any vaccine, the choice to receive it should be completely optional and a severely personal preference, whether that’s due to legitimate health concerns, religious beliefs, or whatever. And just because some may choose against it doesn’t give anyone else, be it the government, employer, or otherwise, the right to punish them.
